BV Dairy Celebrates First Anniversary with First Milk Cooperative Acquisition
Marking a significant milestone since its acquisition by the British farmer-owned cooperative, First Milk, BV Dairy has celebrated its first anniversary post-acquisition. To commemorate this occasion, a tree-planting initiative was organized to highlight the commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
On Friday, February 14, Shaftesbury-based BV Dairy and its new partner planted 365 trees at the Woodhouse Farm in Trowbridge, the property of First Milk member Lucy Noad. This enthusiastic team action underscores both companies\' dedication to working in harmony with nature and promoting eco-friendly practices.
Since being acquired, BV Dairy and First Milk have spent time integrating operations and expertise to solidify and expand their business. Greg Jardine, First Milk CFO and BV business unit director, expressed, "Bringing BV Dairy into the First Milk family has been a fantastic step forward. We\'ve witnessed firsthand the dedication, expertise, and passion of the BV Dairy team, enhancing our growth over the past year."
The move reflects ongoing efforts to bolster sustainable growth while honoring their roots in agriculture. In the words of Jardine, "As a farmer-owned cooperative, we acknowledge the importance of aligning our operations with environmental initiatives."
This tree planting is one of many steps the company is taking toward its goal of positive ecological impact, generating excitement about its future projects and growth plans.
