Brownes Dairy Launches Full+ as a Meal Replacement in Australia
Brownes Dairy, a renowned dairy producer in Australia, has ventured into the meal replacement sector with the launch of its new product, Full+. This move is designed to rival the conventional fast-food drive-thru experience by providing a nutritious alternative that is both convenient and filling.
According to a statement released on February 19, Full+ is described as a 'first-of-its-kind solution' that bridges the gap between thin protein supplements and processed convenience meals. The product is being rolled out in two flavors, chocolate and iced coffee, through the Australian grocery chain Coles.
The company highlights Full+ as a milk-based liquid meal, distinct from other shelf-stable shakes, and emphasizes its nutritional benefits. Each serving contains 35 grams of protein, 18 essential vitamins and minerals, and over five grams of fiber, aiming to provide a balanced meal replacement option.
Natalie Sarich-Dayton, CEO of Brownes Dairy, noted that 'protein is the missing piece of the puzzle for those skipping meals' and that Full+ is designed to offer 'genuine sustenance and staying power.' This initiative coincides with Brownes Dairy's strategic plans to seek new investment or a buyer for the business within the year.
Founded in 1886, Brownes Dairy claims the title of the oldest dairy company in Western Australia, with a product range that includes yogurt, cheese, and coffee, available through major Australian retailers. The decision to put the company up for sale follows financial developments involving its holding company, Australian Zhiran Co. Pty Ltd.
McGrathNicol Restructuring was appointed as the receiver over the shares of the holding company in April, indicating potential changes in ownership or investment for Brownes Dairy.
