Brinkworth Dairy recognised in Parliament after winning three gold medals
The winning products were salted caramel gelato and two cheeses: Wiltshire Loaf and the recently introduced Chaddar. The dairy also received an award at the competition in 2025, when its raspberry gelato secured the Champion Ice Cream title.
Based near Chippenham, Brinkworth Dairy makes cheese and gelato solely with milk supplied by its pedigree Friesian cows. Ceri Cryer is the fifth generation of her family to look after the herd. The business combines traditional production techniques with experimentation in its dairy range.
Cryer welcomed the parliamentary acknowledgement and credited the team’s care and skills in making the products. She said receiving awards was an achievement for everyone involved, with particular significance when recognition also extended to the farming that supported production.
She described the family’s commitment to making high-quality dairy products while caring for its land and preserving the farm’s heritage. Cryer also emphasised that milk from the family’s own cows was the starting point for everything the business produced.
Savage visited the farm to see how its cheese is made and learn about its agricultural practices. Her motion also commends the business’s continued achievements in dairy production and its contribution to the standing of Wiltshire’s food and farming industries.
Cryer is scheduled to visit Parliament on Tuesday, November 17th 2026, accompanied by her father, Joe Collingborn, her son, Bede Cryer, and gelato maker Lee Sheppard. They will meet Savage and receive a copy of the motion. The visit will provide an occasion to present the dairy’s achievements and its locally made British products.
