Belarus is ready to buy Tajikistan’s products in any volume - Alexander Lukashenko

“All the products you produce - aluminum, slaves, etc. - they will be in great demand here if you can supply them to us. Our economy, politics, and humanitarian spheres are developing well, and in military-technical terms we are also working well ", - Alexander Lukashenko said at a meeting with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, he was quoted by the BelTA agency. - We are ready to increase the volume of trade turnover to the extent necessary for our friendly Tajikistan." The Belarusian leader noted the presence of good trade turnover between the countries and its dynamics. “At $100 million, we will master trade turnover. But I want you to understand: we are ready to buy your products, especially agricultural products, which we, unfortunately, do not have, in any volume,” said Alexander Lukashenko.
According to him, in this regard, Tajikistan turned to the Belarusian authorities with a request to create a powerful shopping center in the republic. “You should know that we will do everything to ensure that he is here. We offered your initiators three places in Minsk. If they are not satisfied, we will select another site, we are ready to work with you in this regard,” said Alexander Lukashenko. He noted that the economy of Tajikistan is developing, despite the difficult situation around the country. “I know that the situation for all of us today is not easy, it has always been difficult for you. They are constantly warming you up from the south ,” the president said. “But I am always amazed at how you manage to maintain the economy in this situation.” He also noted Tajikistan’s good performance in the electricity sector. “I will be very happy if you sell a huge amount of electricity in that region. This is a good income for the hardworking Tajik people,” said the head of state.
Emomali Rahmon, for his part, noted the successful chairmanship of the Belarusian side in the CSTO. “I would like to note the successful chairmanship of the Belarusian side in the CSTO, ” he said. “We are very grateful to you for your efforts during your chairmanship in this organization. We have done a lot together.” As for bilateral trade and economic relations, the President of Tajikistan drew attention to the positive dynamics of trade turnover and the positive experience of joint Belarusian-Tajik enterprises in Dushanbe.
Emomali Rahmon arrived in Minsk to participate in a session of the CSTO Collective Security Council.
