A Belarusian delegation discussed increasing shipments of dry milk to Algeria. In 2026, Belarus sold over 20,000 tons of products in the country, and contracts for the delivery of skimmed and whole dry milk worth $18 million have been signed for 2027.
Belarus Increases Export of Dry Milk to Algeria

The expansion of dry milk shipments was one of the topics of the official visit of the Belarusian delegation to Algeria, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus.

The delegation was headed by the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic, Natalia Kochanova. The talks included heads of relevant ministries and Belarusian industrial enterprises, including Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food, Alexander Yakovchits. Leaders of dairy plants were also part of the delegation.

According to Yakovchits, Algeria imports dry milk and holds strategic importance for Belarus. This year, Belarusian suppliers have sold over 20,000 tons of this product on the Algerian market.

The parties signed contracts for the supply of skimmed and whole dry milk in 2027, with a total value of $18 million. The report does not specify the volume of products covered by each contract.

During the visit, certificates for the supply of fish feed to Algeria were also signed. Additionally, Belarusian dairy processing enterprises signed major contracts with Algerian partners. The additional terms of these agreements were not disclosed by the press service.

The Belarusian Ministry of Agriculture and Food stated that the negotiations were held "in an atmosphere of deep mutual respect." According to the press service, both parties confirmed their readiness to continue cooperation in all areas and are focused on achieving joint results.
