The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of Belarus has submitted an appeal to Russia's FAS regarding identified cases of products on the Russian market being falsely presented as Belarusian.

The issue concerns products that are actually manufactured in Russia or third countries but are labeled as being from Belarus.

According to the agency, instances of falsification affect products from several major enterprises, including:

It is noted that the products are accompanied by:

  • labels stating "Made in Belarus",
  • the use of state symbols,
  • misleading information about the country of origin.
Violations have been identified, including on major marketplaces like Wildberries and Ozon. According to MART, more than 25 items of such products have been found.

The appeal is part of the cooperation between the antitrust authorities of the two countries and aims to protect the rights of producers, prevent consumer deception, and strengthen control over the origin of products.
