Belarus Increases Milk Production by 6.5%

The milk commercialization rate reached 91.7%, increasing by 0.5 percentage points. The growth was driven by the implementation of modern technologies, enhanced farm efficiency, and stable government support for the sector.
A key indicator of the industry's dynamics is the average daily yield — 18.3 kg of milk per cow. Brest Region traditionally remains the leader in productivity, with a figure of 22.7 kg, which is 4.4 kg above the national average. In Grodno Region, the yield was 21.6 kg, and in Minsk Region — 19.8 kg. The lowest figures were recorded in Gomel (13.7 kg), Vitebsk (13.5 kg), and Mogilev Regions (12.4 kg).
The ministry emphasized that the target production volume for 2025 is set at around 9 million tons. At the same time, it is planned to maintain the productivity of the dairy herd at the level of 6.5 thousand kg of milk per cow per year.
