According to data from the “VetIS” information system, all cottage cheese imports to Russia in 2025 have come exclusively from Belarus. As reported by Rosselkhoznadzor, 16.6 thousand tonnes of cottage cheese were imported into the Russian market from January 1 to March 21, all produced by Belarusian companies.

A similar trend is seen in the imported ice cream market: Russia sources the product from only two countries — Belarus and Kazakhstan. Belarus remains the leading supplier, having exported 2.1 thousand tonnes, compared to 1.4 thousand tonnes from Kazakhstan.
Earlier, during a visit by Russian Minister of Agriculture Oksana Luth to the Altai Republic, it was announced that Russia’s dairy exports reached 210 thousand tonnes in 2024, with plans to further expand international deliveries in the coming years.
