ATILRA Requests Bankruptcy for SanCor

In an extraordinary assembly, the leaders of ATILRA decided to request the bankruptcy of SanCor at the court where the company's bankruptcy proceedings are underway. This unanimous resolution, made on September 6th, came after evaluating the severe economic and labor crisis affecting the company. SanCor has accumulated a pre-bankruptcy debt involving 1,860 labor credits amounting to 69 billion Argentine pesos and unpaid salaries for several months, along with other financial obligations.
The cooperative's substantial liabilities include unpaid employee contributions to health and social services amounting to over 14 billion pesos. Despite more than 2,500 payment demands, SanCor has reportedly failed to respond, indicating an 'impuissance of assets, widespread insolvency, and cessation of payments.' The workers stressed the importance of not just seeking bankruptcy but also ensuring the company's operational continuity, urging ATILRA's leaders to intensify efforts to find solutions and investors to preserve jobs and facilities.
