Arla and Nestlé Commit to Donating 1.25 Million Breakfasts to UK Families in Need
Two of the UK's largest food manufacturers, Arla and Nestlé, have pledged to donate the equivalent of 1.25 million breakfasts to families and communities in need across the UK. This announcement was made during an event at FareShare’s Barnsley distribution centre, located on the Aldham Industrial Estate in Wombwell.
Representatives from Arla and Nestlé revealed their plans to support vulnerable and disadvantaged people by providing essential breakfast items. Arla will contribute Cravendale milk, while Nestlé will supply cereals, including Shreddies.
The national manufacturers are both key participants in the Coronation Food Project, launched in November 2023. This initiative supports FareShare’s mission to unite businesses from the food industry to tackle food insecurity and reduce food waste.
This collaboration underscores the commitment of Arla and Nestlé to addressing food insecurity and ensuring that more families have access to nutritious meals.
