Arkaya Energy's Heat Pump Wins Royal Dairy Innovation Award for Efficiency
Arkaya Energy's Milk Source Heat Pump has been named the winner of the 2026 Royal Dairy Innovation Award at the Dairy-Tech event held at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, on February 4th. This award highlights innovations that offer clear practical benefits to dairy farmers.
The innovative system operates by capturing heat from milk as it travels through a plate cooler, seamlessly integrating with existing parlour setups. This captured heat is then recirculated through the system using a conventional water pump. The proprietary heat pump technology extracts the heat and transfers it into water, providing an efficient solution to heat water and cool milk simultaneously.
This technology not only helps in reducing energy consumption but also ensures that dairy farmers can maintain efficient operations without major overhauls to their current systems. The award-winning system is part of a broader trend towards sustainability and energy efficiency in the dairy industry.
