Argentina Allocates 2026 Dairy Export Quota to Colombia Under ACE 72
The Argentine government has announced the allocation of the annual dairy export quota to Colombia for the year 2026, as part of the ACE 72 bilateral trade agreement. This quota allows Argentine dairy producers to export milk and cream powder to Colombia with preferential tariff conditions.
A total of eleven companies have been granted permission to engage in these exports. This move is part of ongoing efforts to enhance trade relations between Argentina and Colombia, particularly in the dairy sector.
The decision to distribute the quota comes after a thorough review of applications from various companies, ensuring that only those meeting specific criteria are included. The ACE 72 agreement aims to facilitate trade and promote economic cooperation between the two nations, specifically in the agro-industrial sector.
Historically, the dairy trade between Argentina and Colombia has been significant, and this new allocation is expected to further strengthen the commercial ties. The quota includes provisions for reduced tariffs, making Argentine dairy products more competitive in the Colombian market.
The Argentine Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries played a crucial role in the allocation process, aligning with the country's broader trade policies. This development signifies Argentina's commitment to expanding its dairy exports and maintaining a robust presence in international markets.
