Annie AcMoody Appointed CEO of Dairy Farmers of Canada Starting 2026
Dairy Farmers of Canada (DFC) has officially appointed Annie AcMoody as its next chief executive officer, with her tenure commencing on February 9, 2026. This decision was announced through an official press release, highlighting AcMoody's extensive background in the dairy industry.
AcMoody has been with DFC for over five years, holding several senior roles that involved contributions to policy, economic analysis, trade, and sustainability initiatives. Her academic credentials include a master’s degree in agricultural economics, and she has accumulated nearly 20 years of experience in both Canada and the United States.
"We are thrilled to welcome Annie as DFC's next CEO," stated David Wiens, President of Dairy Farmers of Canada. "Annie's strategic insight and subject-matter expertise will be valuable in supporting both the dairy sector and DFC's membership. Her inclusive leadership style will also be instrumental in continuing our culture of open collaboration."
AcMoody will be taking over from Lucie Bérubé, who has held the position of interim CEO since April 2025. The board has expressed gratitude to Bérubé for maintaining stability and continuity during the transition period. Bérubé will return to her previous role as chief operating officer and continue to collaborate closely with AcMoody.
The transition in leadership is expected to further enhance DFC's strategic directions and reinforce its commitment to the Canadian dairy industry.
