ACC and Adani Foundation Launch Milk Collection Center to Support Dairy Farmers

ACC, a leading cement and building materials company under the diversified Adani Group, in partnership with the Adani Foundation, has inaugurated the Annapurna Milk Collection Centre in Annibaijal village, near ACC Tikaria.
The initiative, launched in collaboration with Mother Dairy, aims to provide sustainable livelihoods for rural dairy farmers and currently supports over 100 farmers across 10 villages.
Since its launch in May 2023, the Annapurna Milk Collection Centre has significantly expanded its daily milk intake, growing from 100 litres to 400 litres per day. This increase not only benefits the farmers but also ensures transparency in milk collection and quality control through the use of advanced milk analysers. The facility, managed by the Annapurna Mahila Samiti, guarantees timely payments and fair pricing based on milk quality, with farmers earning between Rs. 55-70 per litre, depending on the fat and solids-not-fat (SNF) content.
The project also empowers women in the region, with 16 Self-Help Groups (SHGs) involved in the dairy value chain. Led by local community leader Ms. Santosh Singh, the initiative encourages female participation in various roles, promoting financial independence and community development. The involvement of the Mother Dairy chilling plant at Gauriganj further strengthens the supply chain, ensuring efficient milk collection and transport.
