Aanchal Milk Prices to Rise by Rs 2 Per Litre from May 4

The Nainital Dugdh Utpadak Sahakari Sangh Limited (NDUSSL) has announced an increase in the retail price of Aanchal milk by Rs two per litre starting May 4. This adjustment follows similar increases by popular brands such as Mother Dairy and Amul. The standard litre of Aanchal milk, which previously cost Rs 66, will now be available for Rs 68, and the half-litre pack will rise from Rs 29 to Rs 30.
The price increase extends to other dairy products as well, with cow milk seeing a Rs two per litre rise, ghee becoming Rs 20 costlier per litre, khoya by Rs 10, and butter by Rs 20. NDUSSL chairman Mukesh Bora noted that the rises are in response to previous adjustments by leading brands and coincide with the establishment of a new modern milk plant at Aanchal Dairy in Lalkuan, which will boast packaging capacities for over 1.50 lakh litres of milk daily.
Aanchal, a brand under the Uttarakhand government, continues to meet significant demand across the state, supplying over one lakh litres of milk and dairy products daily. An influx of 1.35 lakh litres is also received from Nainital district committees. Bora highlighted that the increased rates aim to benefit dairy producers while maintaining the supply chain's viability.
