Dairy Abundance Secures Saudi Arabia's Food Supply During Ramadan

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture in Saudi Arabia has reported a significant achievement in its dairy sector, producing over 2.6 million tons, which secures the nation’s food supply during the holy month of Ramadan. This announcement highlights the country’s capacity to maintain food security with an abundant dairy production.
Encouragement to Support Local Farmers
During a Ramadan campaign led by the ministry, the public is encouraged to support local dairy products, such as cream, yogurt, and milk, which not only bolsters local farmers but also strengthens national food security.
Aligning with Saudi Vision 2030
According to ministry statistics, Saudi Arabia achieved a 129% self-sufficiency rate in dairy products in 2023, solidifying its position as a leader in dairy production. The ministry emphasized its commitment to improving sector quality and ensuring product abundance, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
