Spanish authorities have approved the issuance of cash cards for groceries to low-income families
“In the Council of Ministers, we are promoting a change to the model, under which vulnerable families will be provided with wallet cards or coupons that can be exchanged for food and other essential goods such as hygiene products,” the head of the department said. According to him, the assistance will range from 130 to 220 euros per month, depending on the size of the family.
You can request it through the Spanish Red Cross. According to the minister, the program will begin to operate in April 2024 and, according to authorities, will help approximately 70 thousand families in Spain.
According to the El Mundo newspaper, to implement the program this year, the country's authorities will allocate a subsidy of 100 million euros to the Red Cross.
