A meat processing plant will be launched in Alashankou to import 80 thousand heads of livestock from Kazakhstan - Serik Zhumangarin

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, negotiations on resuming supplies of Kazakh meat will soon be completed. If the issue is resolved positively, then the PRC plans to build a meat processing plant that will operate on Kazakhstani raw materials.
“Our parties are equally interested in increasing the volume of supplies of Kazakh agricultural products to the PRC. We have reached the final stage of negotiations on opening the export of beef and poultry meat to China; in Alashankou it is planned to launch a large meat processing plant in the coming years, for which it is planned to purchase up to 80 thousand heads of livestock from Kazakhstan,” wrote Serik Zhumangarin.
He also noted that the parties are beginning preparations for the III Forum of Interregional Cooperation between Kazakhstan and China and for the international exhibition China - Eurasia, which will be held in June in the XUAR.
“I am confident that we will be able to resolve the emerging barriers in a constructive manner,” the Deputy Prime Minister noted.
