In Kyrgyzstan, veterinary and sanitary preventive measures covered 17.9 million agricultural animals in 2024, according to the Ministry of Agriculture.

According to the department's data, the structure of the measures included:

  • 930.6 thousand diagnostic studies,

  • 16.5 million preventive vaccinations,

  • 552.4 thousand treatments against helminths.

The ministry's press service clarified that the planned targets for the first nine months of 2025 were achieved at 102%. The Veterinary Service under the Ministry of Agriculture, which is also responsible for the development of livestock, pastures, and feed production, summarized the results at a meeting held in the department.

The leadership noted that measures for the prevention and control of infectious diseases remain a priority to ensure the biosecurity and export potential of livestock.

It was also reported that as of October 18, the Veterinary Service under the Ministry of Agriculture had utilized 69.6% of the budget planned for 2025.
