The U.S. Dairy Export Council (USDEC) and the National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF) have signed a memorandum of understanding with Guatemala’s Dairy Development Association (ASODEL) to bolster trade and cooperation between the two countries' dairy industries.

The agreement aims to promote free and fair trade policies while encouraging greater dairy consumption.
“A strong trade relationship benefits both U.S. and Guatemalan dairy sectors, and imposing misguided trade barriers harms everyone, particularly Guatemalan consumers,” USDEC President and CEO Krysta Harden said. She added that US DEC looks forward to strengthening the partnership between the two dairy industries.
