Uruguayan Cheese Company Expands to Paraguay and Argentina

Granja Naturalia, one of Uruguay's leading premium cheese producers, is in the midst of an international growth phase with a strategic focus on Paraguay and Argentina, alongside bolstering its presence in Brazil.
With over 30 years in the industry, the company aims to strengthen its regional market position through key commercial alliances and well-defined expansion strategies. Alejandro Dellature, the commercial manager, recently toured Argentina and Paraguay to negotiate with strategic partners. In Paraguay, the goal is to reinforce the brand's presence in a high-potential market, aiming to establish solid commercialization agreements. "We are in meetings to strengthen our commercial strategy in Paraguay, and we believe there are great opportunities for further growth," Dellature stated.
Conversely, in Argentina, Granja Naturalia is advancing negotiations with one of the country’s major supermarket chains, which would allow the company to reach a mass audience and cement its market position. "The discussions have been positive, and we are confident that in the coming months we can complete our entry into Argentina," added the executive.
Beyond international expansion, the company is committed to innovation and sustainability in its local operations. This year, they are incorporating solar panels to cover most of their energy demand, reducing environmental impact and optimizing operational costs. Moreover, a new software is being implemented to digitize and enhance production process efficiency, maintaining high standards of quality and traceability.
Granja Naturalia also participates in Uruguay's Cheese Route, an initiative that brings together 15 ventures from Colonia to promote tourism centered on cheese production. This project, backed by the National Development Agency and the Colonia Tourism Association, aims to position the region as a reference destination for cheese and artisanal gastronomy aficionados. Originating in Colonia Suiza, the company began as an innovative alternative for a group of milk producers seeking to add value to their raw material. Since then, Naturalia has held an unwavering commitment to quality, blending artisanal tradition with continuous process improvement. Currently, with a solid presence in the Uruguayan market and a clear strategy for regional expansion, Naturalia continues to establish itself as a leader in the premium cheese industry.
