Ukrainian dairy company Organic Milk has signed a contract to supply A2 milk to a European distributor and plans to significantly increase exports to EU countries in 2026. This was announced by the company's CEO, Olena Stretovych, during an online conference dedicated to the prospects of exporting organic products from Ukraine.
Ukrainian Organic Milk Enters EU Market with A2 Milk Amid Decline in Domestic Demand

The contract involves cooperation with a major European distributor working with the region's leading retail chains. According to the company's head, the start of deliveries is expected soon.

"We hope that by February our contract with the European distributor will be operational, allowing us to make a significant entry into large chains and substantially increase our volume," stated Olena Stretovych.

A2 milk is a specialized product obtained from cows with a specific genotype and does not contain the A1 beta-casein protein. This product is positioned as more easily digestible and is in demand in premium markets, including in Europe and Asia.

Exports Became a Key Growth Driver for the Company

By the end of 2025, Organic Milk doubled its export of dairy products compared to the previous year and expanded its supply geography to nine countries.

The company plans to maintain high growth rates this year.

"Organic Milk's plans for 2026 include scaling exports by 100% from 2025," Stretovych announced.

According to her, the active development of external sales has become critically important for the business amid worsening conditions in the domestic market.

"2025 was the most challenging year ever. Decline in volumes, not entirely partner-like behavior from retailers... Export saved us," she noted.

The European Market Becomes a Priority Direction

Entering the EU market will allow the Ukrainian producer to strengthen its position in the premium segment and reduce dependence on domestic demand, which continues to shrink.

The company expects that cooperation with the European distributor will provide access to major retail chains and lay the groundwork for further growth in the supply of organic and specialized dairy products.
