UAV Attack Damages Ministry of Agriculture Building in Zaporizhzhia Region

The building of the regional Ministry of Agro-Industrial Complex and Food Policy in Melitopol sustained damage following an attack by a UAV of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a TASS correspondent reported.

According to the agency, the UAV fell either near the building or on its premises, resulting in some windows being shattered and damage to the facade. Other consequences of the incident were not specified in the report.

The Minister of the Agro-Industrial Complex and Food Policy of the Zaporizhzhia Region, Gennady Podshivalov, told TASS that the incident occurred on a weekend. He remarked that this helped avoid injuries among ministry employees.

"As a result of the UAV crash, the building of the Ministry of Agro-Industrial Complex and Food Policy of the Zaporizhzhia Region was damaged. Fortunately, it happened on a weekend, so no employees were harmed," Podshivalov said.

The minister also stated that the damage would not halt the ministry's operations. "Yes, today we face such situations. But this will not stop the ministry's work. We will continue to work, support farmers, and fulfill our tasks," he stated.

The ministry is responsible for the region's agro-industrial complex and food policy. The report does not provide information regarding the extent of material damage, the condition of nearby objects, or future actions to restore the building.
