U.S. dairy farmers embracing sustainability practices with Agolin Ruminant are reaping the benefits as three carbon projects initiated in 2021 and 2022 issue nearly $3 million in carbon-asset payments.
These payments reward farmers for utilizing Agolin Ruminant, a proprietary blend of essential oils that enhances milk production and feed efficiency while reducing methane emissions in beef and dairy cattle.

A verified emissions reduction, equivalent to 1 tonne of greenhouse gas emissions, is generated through Agolin Ruminant's intervention, independently verified as part of carbon reduction projects. Recognized by leading carbon methodology owners Verra and Gold Standard, Agolin Ruminant holds a unique position as the first feed additive certified by The Carbon Trust for methane reduction in ruminants.

Concord Agriculture Partners has chosen Agolin Ruminant for a new carbon inset project, ensuring dairy producers receive an industry-leading 85% of the gross value of the carbon asset. Carbon inset projects focus on avoiding emissions, complementing the broader efforts in the agricultural sector to reduce its environmental impact.

The project's emphasis on global standards and the purchase of insets enhances market confidence and delivers increased value to dairy producers. As part of Alltech, which acquired a majority interest in Agolin SA in May 2023, Agolin continues to empower farmers and ranchers to achieve sustainability and profitability goals. The collaboration between Alltech and Agolin offers a holistic approach, yielding benefits such as improved animal welfare, enhanced feed efficiency, increased production, and a reduced environmental footprint.
