Amanda Hinkle, the newly appointed U.S. Agricultural Attaché to Chile, along with agricultural specialist Nelson Ramírez, met with the Dairy Consortium and other industry leaders in Chile. During the visit, discussions centered around the significant progress the Chilean dairy sector is making in regards to sustainability and animal welfare.

One of the key highlights of Hinkle's visit was the upcoming World Milk Summit in Chile, which promises to draw representatives from around the globe to discuss and share insights within the industry. The meeting with the Dairy Consortium also covered topics related to innovation and productivity improvements in dairy production.

The Agricultural Attaché expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to witness innovative technologies in action at Agricola El Pilar in La Unión, including the use of U.S. bovine genetics and dairy production techniques. She noted the productive nature of the visit, which fostered a deeper understanding of the sector's advancement and the potential for bilateral collaboration.

Leaders from the Dairy Consortium, including President Sergio Niklitschek and Manager Octavio Oltra, discussed the technological developments and generational renewal happening in the industry. Niklitschek showcased the El Mirador farm as a model of technological progress and praised the enthusiasm of young professionals driving sectoral innovations in Chile.
