Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Great Britain increased in 2022 to $1.8 billion

The head of state received the British Minister of State for Business and Trade Nusrat Ghani. Welcoming Nusrat Ghani, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized that the UK is one of the main trading partners and the seventh largest investor in the economy of Kazakhstan, The DairyNews reports with reference to Akorda.

Today, more than 550 British enterprises are represented in Kazakhstan. As the head of the Republic of Kazakhstan noted, trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Great Britain increased last year by 60 percent, amounting to $1.8 billion.
“We are interested in expanding our trade and investment ties with London. I am pleased to note that the British side is also interested in developing comprehensive cooperation with Kazakhstan,” said the President of Kazakhstan.
In turn, Nusrat Ghani expressed gratitude to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the people of Kazakhstan for the warm welcome and noted that the British side attaches special importance to the development of bilateral ties.
