The parties discussed prospects for strengthening the eternal comprehensive strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and China, expanding inter-parliamentary dialogue, and cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian spheres.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that the relations between the two countries are developing on the basis of good neighborliness, mutual trust, and a sustainable political dialogue.

"The friendship between our peoples has a strong historical foundation and is confidently developing in the spirit of good neighborliness and mutual trust. China always supports Kazakhstan, for which we express our sincere gratitude to its people, leadership, and, of course, to Chairman Xi Jinping. Strengthening the eternal comprehensive strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and China remains our unwavering priority," said the President.

According to the head of state, 2025 became historic for bilateral relations. Mutual visits have given additional impetus to the development of cooperation, with one of the key outcomes being the increase in mutual trade to $49 billion.

"One of the most important achievements is the growth of mutual trade volume to a record $49 billion. China has traditionally been among the largest investors in Kazakhstan. The total volume of Chinese investments has exceeded $29 billion. Recently, I signed a law ratifying the agreement on the promotion and mutual protection of investments. Undoubtedly, this document will contribute to strengthening the investment cooperation between the two countries," Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted.

The President emphasized that Kazakhstan and China have a strong political foundation for developing interaction both bilaterally and multilaterally. According to him, the positions of the two countries on many international agenda issues are similar, and cooperation is actively developing within the UN, SCO, CICA, and the "Central Asia-China" format.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also highlighted the significance of China's global initiatives in the areas of development, civilizational dialogue, and global governance, confirming Kazakhstan's support for the "One China" policy.

Zhao Leji, in turn, conveyed the best wishes of Chinese President Xi Jinping to the President of Kazakhstan and noted the high level of development of Kazakh-Chinese relations.

"In recent years, Sino-Kazakh relations have been developing dynamically and have reached the level of eternal comprehensive strategic partnership thanks to the far-sighted leadership and support of Chairman Xi Jinping and you personally. Last year, you met with our Chairman twice in Astana and Tianjin, outlining the key areas of interaction between the two countries," said Zhao Leji.
