Tokayev calls for agrilogistics access for all agricultural producers in Kazakhstan
Tokayev addressed agricultural infrastructure in his address entitled “Kazakhstan’s Priorities in a New Historical Cycle.” He described developing this infrastructure as a strategic task and instructed the government to work with Baiterek holding company to draw up concrete solutions.
According to the president, both large agricultural holdings and small farms should be able to use agrilogistics services. He called for barriers to such access to be removed.
Tokayev identified advanced processing of agricultural products as a separate priority. Among successful examples, he highlighted the Kyzylorda Region, where corn and soybeans are grown and processed despite harsh climatic conditions.
Another example cited by the president was a cluster in the Turkestan Region that combines cotton processing and textile production. It was launched by a Chinese investor. Tokayev noted the project’s efficient use of water resources.
The president called on the government to help spread such practices across Kazakhstan and provide timely support to investors. He also proposed the comprehensive application of modern methods in livestock farming.
