Tirolez Achieves Triple Gold at Brazilian Cheese Contest
Tirolez, a prominent cheese producer, secured three gold medals at the National Dairy Products Contest held in Juiz de Fora, Brazil. This year's event highlighted the São João cheese line, which features unique illustrations inspired by northeastern Brazilian culture, created in collaboration with Pernambucan artist Paula de Aguiar.
The third gold medal was awarded to Tirolez's Blue Cheese, known for its characteristic aroma, distinctive flavor, and creamy texture. This cheese had previously earned a gold medal at the 37th World Cheese Awards in 2025. The recent victory adds another national and international accolade to its achievements in the same season.
Evaluation at the contest was conducted by a panel comprising technicians, professors, researchers, and industry professionals, alongside specialists from dairy product inspection services. The criteria for judging included overall appearance, color, texture, odor, aroma, consistency, and flavor, all of which contribute to the final quality assessment of each cheese entry.
Rebeca Couto, Manager of Tirolez's School of Cheese, expressed the significance of the results for the team, stating, "The National Dairy Products Contest is a benchmark for the sector, and receiving this recognition is a source of great pride for Tirolez. These achievements reflect the care we dedicate to every stage of production and our commitment to offering consumers products that combine quality, tradition, and flavor."
With these three victories in Juiz de Fora, alongside previous recognitions at the World Cheese Awards, Tirolez continues to solidify its position as one of the most awarded brands in the Brazilian dairy sector.
