Tirol Is Preparing Its Pinhalzinho Plant to Process 1m Litres

Tirol is preparing a transformation of its industrial unit in Pinhalzinho, which will raise its processing capacity to 1m litres. The project will combine expanded capacity with automation and the use of artificial intelligence.

The company said the upgraded operation will also require additional milk. That demand will extend beyond the plant itself, as producers in the surrounding area will need to provide the raw material required for the new industrial scale.

Tirol expects the project to encourage investment on rural properties. The company said it intends to continue working on producer development and linked the presence of a nearby industry, together with rising demand, to better prospects for continued investment in farming.

Employment and local services

The factory’s transformation is also expected to affect the local labour market. Tirol estimates that more than 50 direct positions will be created, alongside approximately 4,000 indirect opportunities in transport, services and the supply of materials.

The company plans to recruit and train professionals from the region. According to Rofner, an operation using this level of technology requires increasingly qualified staff and will create new opportunities for local workers.

Construction of the project is already generating activity for companies and service providers. Once the structure is completed, the Pinhalzinho unit will bring together greater processing capacity, automated systems, artificial intelligence and additional demand for milk in a single project.
