Tirlán Lowers Milk Price for March Supplies

Tirlán has announced a reduction in its milk price for March supplies to 50.08c/L, down from 56.08c/L the previous month. The new price includes a base of 49.58c/L and an additional Sustainability Action Payment of 0.5c/L.
The average price paid, adjusted for actual milk constituents, stands at 55.24c/L. Tirlán’s chairman, John Murphy, indicated that the price adjustment is necessary to reflect market returns, given the relatively stable market.
Global milk supply is currently weak, impacted by issues such as Bluetongue and Avian Flu. Meanwhile, Tirlán will continue to monitor the potential impact of tariffs and other developments monthly.
Other dairy players like Dairygold and Lakeland Dairies have maintained their prices. Dairygold holds steady at 50c/L, whereas Lakeland continues with a base price of 48.75c/L in the Republic of Ireland and 39.8p/L in Northern Ireland.
