Three Crowns Milk supported women at Imo event

Three Crowns Milk, the Nigerian dairy brand owned by FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria Plc, used the 2026 August Meeting in Owerri to highlight its support for mothers’ well-being and healthier lifestyles. The event was held at the weekend at Umuorii Field, St Michael’s Catholic Church, in Umuorii.

The August Meeting is a major cultural gathering in south-eastern Nigeria. It brings together women from communities in the region and from abroad for activities involving community development, networking, social engagement and empowerment.

Women attending this year’s gathering took part in brand activities, dairy education, games and product sampling. The programme also included an empowerment initiative covering health, personal finance and agriculture. As part of the initiative, 30 underserved women received equipment intended to help them begin businesses.

Participants came from Umualum, Umuorii, Umuoba, Okwu, Owalla, Owaelu, Umunahu, Orji, Amakohia and Akwakuma. The event was attended by the First Lady of Imo State, Chioma Uzodimma, who was represented by Nduka Ijeoma, the wife of the managing director of the Anambra/Imo River Basin Development Authority.

Actress and influencer Ebelle Okaro also appeared at the celebration. Maureen Ifada, FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria’s marketing director, said the company believed that “when women thrive, families and communities flourish”. She added that Three Crowns Milk sought to create platforms that celebrate, support and empower mothers, whom she described as the foundation of healthier families and stronger societies.

Chioma Otisi-Igwe, marketing manager of Three Crowns Milk, said the brand’s support for mothers extended beyond nutrition. “Supporting mothers means creating opportunities that empower them to thrive,” she said.
