Tetra Pak Retains Platinum EcoVadis Medal for Second Year

Tetra Pak said it had maintained the highest EcoVadis medal rating for a second year in a row. The assessment is widely used by businesses to evaluate sustainability performance, and the packaging company’s result improved from 85 points in 2025 to 87 points.

EcoVadis ranked Tetra Pak within the leading 1% of the more than 150,000 companies it has assessed globally. The company reported stronger results in three evaluated areas: environmental performance, ethics and sustainable procurement.

Tetra Pak said its 2025 sustainability report contained broader disclosures. The company also added further information on sustainable-procurement activities, introduced additional performance measures and reinforced due-diligence procedures covering its supply chain.

Supplier engagement continued through Tetra Pak’s “Join Us in Protecting the Planet” programme. The initiative now involves 145 suppliers, which the company said account for most of its total spending. Its stated focus includes climate action, nature, human rights and transparency across the value chain.

Martin Scott, Tetra Pak’s executive vice-president for sustainability and communications, said that pressure on global food systems had made food resilience a critical challenge. He described the repeated Platinum rating as evidence of continuing work by the company’s employees, customers, suppliers and other stakeholders to integrate sustainability into its operations and value chain. Scott said Tetra Pak remained committed to helping customers build resilience as conditions change.
