In response to this trend, Tesco has introduced a dedicated ‘High in Protein’ section within its dairy aisle, specifically targeting yogurt-based products that appeal to health-conscious consumers.
Hollie Bulmer, Tesco’s Buying Manager for Yogurts, commented: “This trend is predominantly driven by younger consumers, who are inspired by influencers showcasing protein-rich culinary creations on social media. The growing interest in the nutritional benefits of protein is not only boosting demand for products like protein yogurts but is also shaping our product range to better meet customer needs.”
