Telangana Dairy Cooperative to Increase Milk Procurement and Expand Parlour Network

The Telangana Dairy Development Cooperative Federation Ltd (TDDCF), which manages Vijaya Dairy, is set to enhance its milk procurement capacity from 4.4 lakh litres to 6 lakh litres per day in the coming months. This initiative was announced by the TDDCF Chairman, Gutha Amith Reddy, during a conference on dairy entrepreneurship.

The cooperative currently sells 3.20 lakh litres of milk daily and converts the surplus into value-added dairy products. Amith Reddy emphasized the importance of improving both milk procurement and market absorption for the cooperative's growth.

Additionally, TDDCF is planning to expand its network of Vijaya Dairy parlours by establishing 400 to 500 new outlets over the next three to four years. Recently, 50 parlours were opened within the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation limits and 25 in rural areas, with plans to open another 25 next month.

The expansion aims to boost sales and provide entrepreneurs with opportunities to open parlours across different parts of Telangana. The cooperative is actively encouraging entrepreneurs to seize these opportunities.

This strategic move is part of TDDCF's broader efforts to strengthen its presence in the dairy sector and enhance accessibility to its products for consumers throughout the state.
