Somerdale International Appoints Alison Velasco to Boost US Sales

Somerdale International is expanding its US sales presence by appointing Alison Velasco as the new East Coast sales manager. This strategic move aims to bolster Somerdale's position as a leading importer of British and Irish cheese in the United States. The company has emphasized that this appointment comes during a period of significant growth and development.

Alison Velasco joins Somerdale with a robust background in the specialty food industry, having spent the last 11 years at a company focused on importing cheeses and specialty foods from various European countries, including Italy, Spain, Portugal, Croatia, and Switzerland. In her previous role, she served as the director of business development.

Before her tenure as a director, Velasco started her career at Murray's Cheese counter and later worked as a private chef. She also gained valuable experience as a cheese specialist at Whole Foods Market in the United States.

Somerdale International is recognized for its specialization in importing British and Irish cheeses and aims to enhance its market share in the US through strategic appointments such as Velasco's.
