SoftServe Founder Ventures into Ukraine's Dairy Industry

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) has approved deals that facilitate Taras Kytsmey, one of SoftServe’s founders, to enter the dairy sector. He is set to acquire control of assets from Mountain Milk and Mukko Milk, marking his debut with an estimated $20M investment.
Kytsmey announced plans to co-develop a state-of-the-art cattle farm, capable of housing 2,000 animals, with the first phase commencing in August this year. The market estimates that a modern dairy farm requires about $10,000 per stall, elevating the farm’s potential value to $20M. This positions it as one of Ukraine's largest private livestock investments over the past decade.
This venture signifies a broader trend of capital flow from technology into agriculture sectors, particularly processing and vertical integration companies. With rising dairy export opportunities in Ukraine and a growing demand for organic-certified farms in the EU, Kytsmey’s project exemplifies synergy between technology, agriculture, and sustainable investment.
