Charlie Sheppy has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately, succeeding Stefan Scherer. Sheppy brings over 25 years of experience in the animal nutrition and livestock technology sectors, having previously served with MSD Animal Health.
Stefan Scherer, who has been instrumental in smaXtec's growth since 2020, will transition to a Non-Executive Director role on the company's Board. This move is part of a planned transition as the company continues its momentum in the United States, Europe, and New Zealand, reporting another year of substantial double-digit growth in 2025.
Hein Schumacher, formerly the CEO of Unilever and FrieslandCampina, has also joined the smaXtec Board as a Non-Executive Director.
