Sikkim Governor Visits Moovana A2 Dairy Farm in West Bengal

Shri Om Prakash Mathur, the Governor of Sikkim, visited Moovana’s dairy farm in Fulbari, near New Jalpaiguri in West Bengal, on October 15, 2026. He was received by Moovana founder Amit Agarwal, members of Agarwal’s family and company staff.

During the visit, Mathur toured the farm, including its automated cow sheds, and was briefed on Moovana’s operating model. The company presents its business as a combination of Gauseva, a traditional practice centred on dedicated cow care, and technology used in day-to-day dairy-farm operations.

A press release distributed by VMPL and published by ANI said that the governor appreciated Moovana’s approach. Mathur also fed cows and planted saplings on the farm premises. The activities formed part of the visit alongside the inspection of the facilities.

Products and production model

Moovana operates as an A2 dairy brand in the New Jalpaiguri region. Its product range includes A2 milk and Bilona ghee. A2 milk is marketed according to the type of beta-casein protein it contains, while Bilona ghee is associated with a traditional preparation method involving cultured curd, butter separation and subsequent clarification.

To mark the occasion, Agarwal and his family presented Mathur with a jar of Moovana’s signature A2 Bilona Ghee. The company’s product positioning combines traditional dairy methods and branding with modern farm infrastructure, including automated facilities intended to support routine operations and management.

Expansion plans

Mathur discussed Moovana’s plans for future business expansion before the visit concluded. The company has stated an ambition to make its dairy products available to more households and to develop a scalable dairy business while retaining its focus on cattle care and product quality.

Agarwal described the governor’s visit as an honour for the company. He said Mathur’s encouragement had strengthened Moovana’s commitment to “purity, innovation and tradition”. The company’s stated plans include expanding its presence in the specialised dairy segment while maintaining its existing product focus.

Moovana’s operations reflect a model used by smaller dairy businesses seeking to distinguish themselves through specialised products, traditional processing references and farm technology. The company’s expansion will involve its production capacity, milk sourcing, processing standards and distribution as it seeks to reach additional consumers.
