Significant Milestone for Madhya Pradesh in Milk Production

The Madhya Pradesh Milk Federation is set to sign a significant collaboration agreement with the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) on February 25, 2025. This partnership is expected to boost milk production in the state and increase the income of local farmers.

High-profile figures, including Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, will be present at the signing ceremony at the Kushabhau Thackeray International Convention Center in Bhopal. The agreement, set to last five years with an option for extension, will see the establishment of milk collection centers in every Gram Panchayat, expand the processing capabilities of milk unions, and increase the number of milk committees from 6,000 to 9,000, effectively covering over 18,000 villages.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav highlighted the state's commitment to this initiative as part of the Sankalp Patra-2023, with plans for a ₹2,500 crore investment in new dairy infrastructure as part of the White Revolution Mission. The state aims to double the income of milk producers and promote local milk brands like Sanchi.

The NDDB will be instrumental in expanding the footprint of the Sanchi brand across India, ensuring no additional fees for management or consultancy. Part of the agreement includes appointing technical and management experts to facilitate the project and a grievance redressal system to support dairy farmers.
