Shibuya Hoppmann offers an ESL and dairy filling system
Shibuya Hoppmann, which makes aseptic, extended-shelf-life and automation equipment, has presented its ESL & Dairy Filling System as a platform for beverage producers working with dairy, plant-based and ESL products. The equipment is designed for manufacturing operations that use different formulations and packaging formats.
The system offers two options for bottle sterilisation: peracetic acid and hydrogen peroxide. Cap or foil sterilisation can be carried out with pulsed light or ultraviolet light. These alternatives are incorporated into the filling platform rather than being described as separate production systems.
A multi-viscosity filling valve is a central feature of the equipment. It is specified to handle products with viscosities of up to 1,000cps and products containing particles as large as 10mm. The same production line can therefore be used for formulations with lower and higher viscosities, according to the company’s description.
Shibuya Hoppmann says the equipment is intended for high-mix manufacturing environments in which product changes are part of production. Its design supports movement between product types while maintaining the stated filling performance and product-quality requirements.
The platform is also designed for continuous ultra-clean operation over extended periods without an interruption for CIP or SIP. Its hygienic design and product-handling features are specified to support uptime, limit production stoppages and maintain ESL operating conditions during longer production runs.
Production monitoring is included through the collection of filling and capping data for every unit. According to Shibuya Hoppmann, this provides visibility into the process, supports traceability and contributes to quality assurance. The source does not give a price, production capacity or launch date for the system.
