Shamrock Farms is marking the 10th anniversary of its milk manufacturing facility in Augusta County, Virginia, with a significant investment of $59 million to expand its production capabilities. This latest expansion represents the second major investment in the Verona facility since it opened in 2014, underscoring Shamrock Farms' commitment to continuous growth and innovation. Originally designed to support Shamrock's mission of delivering great-tasting dairy products nationwide, the plant remains a cornerstone of the company’s production, utilizing cutting-edge manufacturing and warehousing technology.

"We’re committed to growth at Shamrock Farms, and this expansion is the latest milestone in our long history of strategic national brand growth," said Devon McClelland, president of Shamrock Farms and a fourth-generation leader of the McClelland family. "By continuing to evolve our product lines, facilities, and technology, we’re laying the groundwork for future success and ensuring we can continue to provide the quality products that our customers love."

Shamrock Farms products, which include the company's ready-to-drink milk line and Rockin' Protein shakes, are currently sold in all 50 states, available in over 135,000 retail and quick-service outlets such as Kroger, Publix, Dollar General, and Circle K.

The expansion project is expected to be completed by 2028 and will contribute to the economic growth of Augusta County. It also reinforces Shamrock Farms' ongoing support for local dairy farmers through its partnership with the Maryland and Virginia Milk Producers Cooperative Association.

As part of the project, Shamrock Farms will receive a performance-based grant of $600,000 from the Virginia Investment Performance Grant, along with a $300,000 grant from the Governor's Agriculture and Forestry Industries Development Fund (AFID), administered by the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

This investment in the Virginia facility reflects Shamrock Farms’ broader strategy of scaling its operations to meet rising demand while supporting local agriculture and driving economic development in the region.
