Saputo Announces Opening Milk Price in Australia for the 2026/27 Season: AUD 8.80–8.90 per kg of Milk Solids

The quoted prices apply to suppliers operating under exclusive supply arrangements in the Gippsland, Tasmania, South-West Victoria / South Australia, and Northern regions. According to the company, the opening price reflects current market conditions as it enters the new season.

Kate Ryan, Director of Milk Supply and Planning, noted that SDA continues to support its diverse supplier base and to strengthen long-term partnerships with farmers. According to her, the company has invested in flexible pricing options and expanded partnership programs, including rebates and incentives aimed at improving the profitability, productivity, and sustainability of farms. Farmers can tailor their payment structure and set of programs to suit their farm's profile and support cash flow.

Ryan added that the company is "cautiously optimistic" about improvements in some markets and will review its milk prices during the season as certainty across key markets and product categories improves.

SDA emphasizes that the figures cited are a weighted average across its entire supplier base; actual prices for individual farms will vary depending on the profile of the milk produced. A schedule of minimum monthly milk prices is published in the company's milk supply agreements on its website.
