Russia extends tariff exemption for imports of 25,000 tons of butter until the end of 2025

The decision was made by the Subcommittee on Customs, Tariff and Non-Tariff Regulation in order to ensure stable supply in the domestic market and curb consumer price growth.
According to the Ministry of Economic Development, the purpose of imported products will be confirmed by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, which eliminates the risks of oil redistribution for other needs or violation of import conditions. "Additional import volumes will not create pressure on Russian producers and will not have a negative impact on the local market," the ministry stressed.
Tariff relief will become one of the measures of state policy to regulate prices for socially important food products, in the context of continuing inflationary risks and volatility of commodity markets.
