Ruslan Alisultanov has assumed full ownership of Yunimilk LLC, the parent company controlling Health and Nutrition (H&N), which consolidates the former Russian assets of French multinational Danone. The change in ownership was registered in Russia's Unified State Register of Legal Entities on December 6, 2024.

Previously holding a 1% stake in Yunimilk, Alisultanov now owns 100% of the company, which underwent a name change from Vamin-Tatarstan shortly before the transaction. Yunimilk controls H&N via its subsidiary Vamin R.

"H&N confirms that Ruslan Alisultanov is now the sole owner of Vamin-Tatarstan, renamed Yunimilk. This entity indirectly controls the H&N group of companies," an H&N spokesperson told Interfax.

The spokesperson emphasized that the ownership change will not impact business operations. "H&N and Vamin were independently managed before this transition, with no operational overlap. H&N continues its trajectory of growth, increasing production, revenue, and investment. We have ambitious plans for expanding our product range and production capabilities," the company stated.

Alisultanov, a board member of H&N and former deputy agriculture minister of Chechnya, now oversees a company consolidating 12 production plants.

Background on the Transition
Danone, which exited the Russian market in 2022 amid geopolitical tensions, saw its Russian assets transferred to state management in July 2023 following a decree by President Vladimir Putin. The assets were rebranded as H&N and H&N Trade.

In March 2024, Putin issued a decree reversing their temporary management under the Russian Federal Property Agency, paving the way for a sale. By May 2024, Vamin R had acquired the assets. At the time of the deal, Vamin-Tatarstan held a 99% stake in Vamin R, with Alisultanov owning 1%. Mintimer Mingazov was listed as the beneficiary.

The reorganization marks a significant shift in the stewardship of Danone’s former Russian operations, now positioned for local growth under Alisultanov's leadership.
