Russian dairy exports to the UAE increased 7.7 times

Dairy products became the main driver of growth in Russian agricultural exports to the United Arab Emirates in the first quarter of 2025. According to preliminary estimates, the volume of dairy shipments increased 7.7 times compared to the same period in 2024 — from 7 to 54 tons, DairyNews.today reports, citing the press service of Agroexport.

A significant share of the structure is occupied by ice cream, whose exports tripled and reached 19 tons — about one-third of the total volume of dairy products.

Overall, in the first three months of 2025, Russia supplied over 290,000 tons of agricultural products to the UAE, which is 26% more than in the same period last year. Substantial growth was also recorded in the pulses segment (up 90%) — to 13,500 tons, and in cereals — to 268,000 tons, including wheat — up to 244,000 tons. Meat product exports increased by 36%, totaling 1,900 tons.

The top five categories of Russian agricultural exports to the UAE by volume:

  • Wheat — 82%

  • Barley — 8%

  • Pulses — 5%

  • Poultry meat — 2%

  • Soybean oil — less than 1%
