Rosselkhoznadzor notes a concerning trend: an increase in the share of counterfeit dairy products in the Eurasian Economic Union market. This was stated by the deputy head of the department, Svetlana Alexeeva, at the XI International Dairy Business Forum.
Rosselkhoznadzor Reports Alarming Increase in Counterfeit Dairy Products in the EAEU
According to Rosselkhoznadzor, dairy products increasingly contain vegetable oils and fats instead of animal fats, as well as undeclared food additives and organic acids. The highest number of violations is found in categories such as cream (first place), butter, cheese, and sour cream.

To combat this issue, Rosselkhoznadzor is actively integrating with the "Honest Sign" labeling system and GIS MT, which will allow for the creation of a complete product traceability system. The department is striving for maximum digitalization of product turnover control, forming a unified digital veterinary ecosystem that includes the "Saturn" system and phytosanitary control mechanisms.

An important step will be the prohibition of issuing veterinary accompanying documents (VSD) in the "VetIS" system without prior registration of agricultural animals in the "Horriot" component. This means that it will be impossible to issue electronic VSDs if the animal is not registered in the corresponding database.
