Rondônia Updates Milk Reference Prices Amid Market Variations
The Conseleite Rondônia has released the updated reference prices for milk delivered in May 2026, which will be paid in June. All categories of milk remuneration have seen an increase, with the standard reference price observing a rise of R$ 0.0123 per liter compared to the previous month. These values account for milk delivered to the cooling tanks on the farm, excluding the secondary transportation costs to the rural producer.
The announced prices include a 1.5% Funrural tax, which is deducted from the producer. The reference prices are significantly influenced by quality parameters, as emphasized by the Conseleite. However, despite these reference prices, the actual amount received by farmers depends on various factors such as the supplier's loyalty to the dairy, the distance to the industry, road conditions, milk temperature upon delivery, cooling tank capacity, milking methods, and herd health conditions.
The resolution also highlights market dynamics such as regional supply and demand, production seasonality, and benefits offered by industries as influential factors. Thus, while the Conseleite Rondônia provides a market reference, effective remuneration for producers is determined by the interplay of raw material quality, operational efficiency, and commercial agreements between producers and dairies.
