Romania's DN AGRAR Group Reports 40% Rise in Net Profit for 2024

DN AGRAR Group, the largest integrated livestock farm in Romania and a prominent producer of cow milk, has announced a preliminary consolidated turnover of 176 million RON for 2024. This represents a 16% increase compared to the previous year. The company's net profit soared by 40%, reaching 32 million RON, with a net profit margin of 18%.

Jan Gijsbertus de Boer, Chairman of the Board, CEO, DN AGRAR Group, commented: "2024 was a year of growth, resilience, and strategic progress marked by record financial results and groundbreaking investments. With milk production up by 14%, a 2.76% rise in milk prices, and greater operational efficiency, we achieved our strongest performance yet, with an EBITDA of RON 71 million, up 31%. We stayed on course with key investments, successfully expanding robotic technology on farms, developing Straja farm, and launching the operations at the compost factory. Additionally, we signed a cooperation agreement for the largest biomethane production facility in Romania, with a total capacity of up to 20 MW, underscoring our commitment to sustainable agriculture. As we look to 2025, we remain focused on expansion and innovation, with plans for increased farm capacity and a second composting facility."

Operationally, the group delivered approximately 63 million liters of milk in 2024, marking an over 14% increase in milk deliveries. In its agricultural operations, DN AGRAR optimized crop management through technological advancements, achieving a 4.4% reduction in production costs. Total investments in 2024 reached approximately 39 million RON.

Key financial elements for 2024 compared to 2023:

  • Operating revenues: RON 264 million, a 13% increase;
  • Revenues from sold production: RON 174 million, up 16%;
  • Operating expenses: RON 219 million, a 9% rise, impacted by adjustments in asset valuation, totaling RON 25 million, a 21% increase from last year;
  • Total assets: approximately RON 362 million, up 17%;
  • Total liabilities: RON 194 million, a 13% increase;
  • Long-term liabilities: RON 110 million, up 15% due to significant construction investments in the DN AGRAR Straja farm.
