Reny Picot announces a significant investment aimed at enhancing production capacities and infrastructure in its Zamora factory.

The dairy company Reny Picot has unveiled plans to invest €8 million in its facility located in Fresno de la Ribera, within the Zamora province. This strategic investment will enhance production lines for cream and goat cheeses while improving infrastructure for milk and chilled water reception. Highlighting the importance of Zamora in Spain's dairy industry, the province ranks second nationally in the number of dairy sheep and has a substantial population of dairy cows. The local economy benefits significantly from the factory, which processes approximately 20,000 tons of milk annually, supporting 757 dairy farms in the region.
The Government of Castilla y León strongly supports this investment. In 2024, it allocated six million euros in aid to 667 local dairy farms, emphasizing sustainability and quality. Efforts to bolster the dairy value chain include regular sanitary controls and promoting dairy consumption in schools. Fernando Prada, a regional delegate, praised the company's blend of tradition and innovation during a recent visit to the factory, underscoring the initiative's role in producing high-quality products and creating rural employment.
